The last broken iron chest loot that i heard of was cotton and a few aspens.
You'd be surprised by what people want to protect

you are finding **** loot in metal chests because they used to cost like 6 pig iron and some folks had dozens of them laying around. they take forever to break even on a titan so 16 wrought iron for the protection they provide is not bad, and if you cant figure out how to use them to the best effect that is your newbs problem.

Its not really a concern to me how long it takes for them to break it when they can just walk off with it in 5 minutes. I will lose my stuff either way.

how comes u have 16 wrought iron for a iron chest but not a few wrought/bricks for brickwall/braziers to care about people running away with them?

I built it when I was under the assumption that it couldn't be lifted.

My base was already filled with blazers.

I don't think jumping straight to brick wall would be ideal, steel would cost 2.2k for the gate alone. I was thinking to do a plank wall first and then brick after.
