I like watching them for new games or games I might want to try. There are some games I like to watch like Salem just to see how they're playing it compared to me. I like watching top players play games that I play like LoL just to see how they're better. There are tons of reasons to watch the games, but mostly I'm just looking for something new.
For you Darwoth I'd recommend this guy. He's an Irag war vet who decided to start streaming for a living as a game reviewer and he's a blast to watch most days. He also, owns guns and like to get drunk. He tries a tons of non-MMo's and is generally fun to watch.

You can make a ton more money on YouTube than Twitch just so you know. The potential views you get on a YouTube channel are a lot more than Twitch and they pay better. Also if you have both people will generally follow both and you get payed for both. YouTube is a little harder to make tho.
