I do think the article, OP, and pretty much everything else in life points to the fact that the world would be a better place if everybody was American. That being said I'm sure the world would be a better place if everybody was Argentinian too. It is little more than common sense that the more we homogenize the less differences countries would have and the less opportunity for conflict, quarrels, or even conflicting interests. So once on board that in a perfect world the extremes of diversification would be non-existent the question then boils down to who has the best place to start, best model to replicate, or best template to copy. Which is quite clearly America. However, I can understand the 'fad' for the emo kids(countries) to gather up in the shaded corner of the school campus smoking their cigarettes and pretending the Quarterback, Class President, Prom King, and Valedictorian's life isn't as cool as it constantly seems it is.
