Isn't there a warning already? Such as the whole game gets dark and red when someone is attempting to summon it?

From what I was told by more than one person is that the blood moon doesnt real until it gets successfully casted.The world turns blood red while it is being casted, and upon success the blood moon icon shows up in the season box.
