well, it seems better i think than having to empty your backpack and toolbelt, and for those who want something like the current, it will be the "switch all" button

Oh well, there have been so many great changes recently that mannequin polishing isn't that important, anyways :)

If we could have the mannequins check for the exact same parts of clothing they are dressed in. If I only have a shirt and a pair of pants on a mannequin, it should only check and replace the shirt and pants my character is wearing.

Could that be done?

Mannequins are currently made in an "all or nothing" approach, where, every "graphic' you see on the character must attempt to switch, and if it cannot, then the action must be denied. There could certainly be another and better way but it would come at too high development cost and thus is not on our urgent fix list.

Since belts are indeed the biggest problem, do you think you could instead just have belts not be considered for mannequins? While this is still not optimal, it is at least a much better option. If someone needs to switch a belt it's a lot easier than changing a whole outfit.

I think he means he would like to change it the way you say (consider/not consider something when change) but it will be so problematic that he have to do it later.
Like that "bridges" in Wurm and NPC in Project Zomboid. "We're getting there!"

I agree, but ignoring belts is a nice temporary solution, IMO.

But that IS the problem. Ignoring a specific thing is a much bigger job than you realize. That's why it hasn't been changed yet.
