Lowering difficulty when crafting clothes

Hello to all!

What are the ways to do it?
Artifacts, high thread and needle, other?

The higher your thread and needle is the bigger the chance to get lower difficulty on the clothes you craft. Alternatively, you can ask a high T&N character to molest your clothing with a teasel (i still chuckle when i read the tooltip of it, caress is such a .. weird word for it xD) and reroll the difficulty based on his T&N.
Exactly 6.022 x 10^23 worth of Lach molecules.

So, slotting Lamb of Tartary for example does nothing to difficulty?

Exactly, weaving so for using less clean cotton to make each cloth, nothing to do with difficulty.
