should probably make a voting but i think cluttering the minimap and gameworld with useless stuff like rotten logs, daisies, honeysuckly, autumn grass is Counter-Productive, we should return to have only "a few" items every now and then.

edit: not only counter productive but horrible, unless u deactivate everythnig on the map the game is close to being unplayable.

An option to disable the spam-forageables may be a good idea

Aside from the fact that you can disable them from the minimap perfectly fine,
I agree that the spam forageables serve no purpose at all aside from pissing everyone off.
Maybe the new inventory system merited some changes to foraging, but spamming rubbish everywhere in the world is not the way to go, I think.
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.

Have a walk outside and see how many things you pick up are useful.

For more established players this mass spawn stuff might be seen as a waste of space but for newer players its great. There are so many low study items now and with so much to pick up they are never without something new to descover. Grass gives them the hay they need for their fields and builds to start increasing the influence on their fields quickly. Reeds provide a quick sorce of plant fibers without having to wait ages for milkweeds in the fire. Im personally loving the new stone for paving. Not to mention this mass of stuff forces players to start thinking about their storage instead of becoing the mass horders that most of us are.

I don't know, maybe it botheres me less because i use the standard client and the Devs made dure to disable the mass spawn items from the mini map right away

Actually, it might make sense in some szenario to have an abundance of such things, but it does not make sense in a game.

Or to put it in other words:
It does not make sense to "need" stuff that is available in vast abundance, the only thing added here is more clicks for less fun, and depending on where you life, what you want to do and what biomes there are, a requirement (again) to have alts in other biomes to get that stuff.

It is nice to have more things filling the game world, maybe there are some tweaks that could make this usefull, like... is it possible to get the rare drops off those things?
Well, from what I can see, these things need a bit more love.

It's so easy for me to make hay now reeds have been added, quick row around my lake and I've got 4 hay stacks full, or more if I go further. I'm hoping animals will eat all of this autumn grass. Not sure about the rotten logs, I know John mentioned he likes things like squirrel stashes and birds nests, rotten logs are kind of like that. Perhaps there are other types of gnome to find, or a use for the mischievous one.

That's the point. Now you can spam gather the new stuff and if nothing else get 7 use inspirationals off them. Unlike the previous balance where crag had 3 bits of granite and 3 bits of flint to gather, now you can hoard gneiss and actually get some 7use stuff from there. The thing is that if you don't need this stuff, just play default client and you won't be bothered by it or play custom clients and disable them on the minimap. But it's not their prerogative to hold our hands and make sure we always need everything. You balance your own gameplay, time spent doing what activities and so on. Hate gneiss? screw gneiss, let it rot away into dust. Personally I think they offer nice alternatives for foraging when bored and looking for the good curios. Some wood choppings without the need to cut a tree if you've already exhausted piles. Some feedstock for bins and turkeys with daisies, if not a small curio for a newbie.

Just disable them on the map and move along if you don't need it.

I'm pretty sure the default client doesn't show the biome specific forageables anyway no?
