There's a bat stuck to me!

So, I was mining and suddenly I fell down a floor.
At that floor there was a million bats, and they seemed to enjoy feasting on me, eventually ko'ing me.

However when I respawned the bat was attached to an equipment slot of mine, and it keeps ko'ing me at my leanto.
What the hell is going on, what can I do? Wiki doesn't say anything.

At this rate all my proficiencies are going to reach 0!

Unequip it from your neck...
then run to a mine or house if you cant kill it and wait till it despawns

However the search function returns

"Information

No suitable matches were found."

Perhaps I am doing something wrong when searching.

Edit:
I got the bat off me, but my items have despawned now.
Which resulted in a huge loss for me, oh dear.

Apparently searching for "bat" doesn't work, but "bats" works.

Well, I can only imagine. I've never been raided/raped,
I just recently started playing again, and I haven't played that much before :p

I am still in high spirits though, lots of work to be done!

I think the devs should put a sticky on bats that would save us a lot of trouble. Or we could agree not to answer to any thread concerning bats stuck on people

I am actually working on technology that will let me 'become' the bat if it KO's somebody more than 10 times. This way we can have first-row seats to the action.
