The game should not have to be played via the forums, official updates fine, but it should have basic mechanics such as a secure trade. Some of these players have 1000s of posts, to scim thru posts hoping to find a mention of a players name in a negative act in order to return to the game and make a trade?? Anyone of the 100+ people who viewed this thread could have made the character.

Ya ya, troll away, but this game is unique in that it can potentially have real money items at risk. Yes, there is a disclaimer, but there should also be a bit of protection in trading. Lose it via lag, via KO, or death fine, that's an internet game.

I realize JC could give a rats ass about leveling any playing field, he enjoys the frustration he creates, and enjoys insulting 'stupid players' so I will end my rant here.

kandarim has been a liar and a thief since roanoke when he tried to scam my founders set, one of the reasons i do not use his client (the other being that it is horribly unstable and laggy as *****)

On-topic, a quick search for my trade thread would have shown you the HS of my trader is TheManHS - obviously not the person you traded with.

IDK, the game is thought to have absolutely no protection on anything... though we do have stalls.
Granted, what we have here is punishments for doing certain things. and that's all we have.

The OP listed the in game char name. Listing the char name isn't slander. If you use a forum name other than your character then you run the risk of this happening. Which I'm sure many do.

Someone played on her respect for a perceived senior trader, but yes, she was fooled. There are different levels of item trades, just because you no longer deal is such 'junk' does not mean there is a market.

Lazy and stupid players are not rewarded in this game that's all. You need to work hard and be smart with whom you deal with. There is no way this game could be played without the use of forums. If you don't check the forums at least once a day you are doing it wrong.

That is completely beside the point, though. It's perfectly possible for twenty characters named "Kandarim" or "Latikai" to be wandering about. Names aren't unique - only homestead secrets are.

I've trader with Kandarim with no issue's. Can't say it wasn't him but I wouldn't expect that from him.
