I don't know how much it would cost but getting on the Steam store as a Free to Play game is also an option. At the very least you need to set up an official 'Salem' community chat for us to join. It'll help new players hook up with friends and online communities.

The biggest problem with listing the game on steam is that all of the store purchases would have to be directed through the steam store and steam wallet. 30% minimum off the top of every purchase.

I can imagine Salem getting overly negative reviews on Steam with how unforgiving it is

More then likely yea. Then again with how popular rogue likes have become it might get alot of amazing ones.

roguelikes where after 30 minutes you fail and have to start from scratch yeah. But roguelikes where after 2 months you have to start from scratch - no.,

Besides, I think Salem should start slow. Last thing we want is getting servers unstable and laggy due to heavy influx of players

Salem will get bad reviews on any large scale setting like steam just off the abhorrent lack of professionalism thats shown

Just look at the moderators general attitudes or carvers little peeking into the privacy of characters/accounts and posting them on the forum

Ya want everyone to be on the forums and yet you show yourselves off in such a **** way im not surprised people opt out of doing so
