I already raised it to 2 seconds.

And what else do you have to do while in a death loop? plant your fields?

Well yes... freaking out while having a bat attached to your neck was the intended effect.

Didn't someone bearing a striking resemblance to myself mention that this "seems abnormally harsh"? Then I offered a cup of my tears and begged for more. I appreciated the guidance through that tough situation, JC!

Oh uh... I'm no genius or anything but I missed the update post and the info about bats. Even still the first thing I did when my first bat came at me and disappeared (clearly landing on my character model) was look at my equipment and drop the little **** so I could stomp on it. This is very likely the same thing I would do in real life really, besides maybe throwing it at the wall.
That's the story about how I got two bat fangs. :0

Well John, i know it's my problem that i have this ****** piece of intel i7 crap that doesnt work well with opengl or well, any games for that sake, but still, when i get ko in mine, i spawn on ground, i can remove the bat, but it may take alot of time (10-15 sec) if on ground has been unloaded, whyle the screen is black and it loads the world. so even after i remove the bat, it fly away and back at me causing me to get ko once again.

just geting it out there to curse the intels mistake with HM55 chipset

Fine you get a chance to spawn some bats when you mine that can kill you, but letting the bats put you in a death loop with no warning that they are attacking you or anything that is just stupid

Personaly i had forgotten that they would latch onto your troat so i had to come to the forums to find out that this was the reason for my character being stuck in a deathloop.... lost all the stuff i had just spent hours collecting because of this stupid mechanic and alot of influence.

it is fine you are punished for dying but give a man a chance to find out what is killing him please....

Thankyou for this. Some people say that I am not new to the game because I have a mine and have spawned bats. I consider myself new if that makes any difference. Having a bat attach itself to my neck with no reason or explanation as to what is going on is very disconcerting and worrisome. Not everyone can read every post on these forums. I stay away from other players so I don't get killed and now I have to worry about Inspiration sucking vampire bats and I have just found out that bees can do the same thing.

This is becoming a more and more dangerous game, soon a blood moon will cause permadeath if you KO during it, The deck is definitely getting stacked.

The graphical representation of a bat sticking out of your neck isn't enough? Combined with the fun fact that in your neck equipment slot is a foreign object? The inability of the player base to draw simple conclusions such as this simply means that I have been too generous in the Pre-Mining phases of the game. I fully expected players who lack the ability to derive this should have been killed off and quit long before they got to mining. I'll consider putting in a better filter for such a thing in the future.

The bat mechanic stuck out of your neck looks like the collar of a cloak, also you don't get much chance to see it when you pass out 1 second after standing up and to see the neck slot in the equipment sub menu means you need to know to look there. which I didn't until it was told to me then I figured it out.

The tears will come, since you can get KO during blood moon in mine and be fine, but then you come out, probably get lag or server will crash and you find yourself permanently dead due to it. Theese future tears.

Bloodmoons/darkness could make bats act as they do now, otherwise taking a bat off in the wilderness makes it disappear? Makes sense reality-wise.

Would at least troll 2 deaths off the unprepared, keeps bats just as deadly for bloodmoons, and add that extra annoyance for being in the darkness. Of course I know zilch about darkness/witch mechanics so this may screw one of those up concerning bats. Oh, and make farming bats an actual effort and not a side effect.

I can say they definitely make mining a little less boring, along with the forums so far.
