So we can't study Butterflies any more?

Looks like not. Somewhat unfortunate as it was a great TN and LL inspirational. On the flip side we can craft the waxen candles now - so its not the end of the world.

Well I had a stash of them in my chest. They turned into monarch butterflies after the patch.

I liked the idea of at least ONE kritter in Salem that you actually "set free" instead of being a monster and butchering it. If you catch a butterfly you already have or do not need, best to just let him go and live out his life

Think I just managed to crash my client by adding another 50 butterflies or so to the existing flock xD Woot.
