It's better that new players learn the harshness of Salem on their first day. If they decide to rage quit, they probably wouldn't have lasted long anyway because this game isn't for them. However, if they decided to keep playing, there is a good chance that they will become a full-time Salemite that will play for at least a few months.

I paid a silver for the port as well and lost all of my forageables and tools,i still thought it was pretty funny though lol.
