A Currency only works if you can buy things with it. If i cant use my silver to buy wares i want. Why would i sell wares i dont want for silver?

I don't see how increasing claim upkeep would solve the issue you have. I firmly believe you just need to increase your prices. Moreover remind yourself that what you are trying to buy are cash shop items, which mean real life currency. There is and will always be people that make a clear distinction between real life money and in game currency and will never accept to sell their items acquired through real life currency. In my opinion, real life currency and in game currency are closely related are both are bound to the same unit of value: time. If I can earn 500s/hour of play and I can earn 15$/hour at my job then what should I do if I need money? Then you of course need to take into account that the hour spent in the game might be more fun than the hour at work and that you can only spent so much time at work, etc. But it's all a matter of perspective.

The thing with claim upkeep too is that it is a way for the game to dump a part of the silver earned by players, as such silver is theoretically infinite and will only lead to an increase of price. But this way of balancing the economy is very artificial and needs to carefully balanced in itself in order to avoid cases like: John is a noob playing only 1 hour/day but he needs to play 2hour/day if I want to earn enough silver to pay his rent. John can't play that much so he quits the game.
You will always be at a disadvantage compared to the player who plays more than you. And increasing the money dump balance will only create a greater gap between you and them.

Well if you sell a prospectors pan for 5k id buy it. Now do you sell it? (it is 5x the price Heffernan pays for one, Should be in the range of its actual worth).

People in this thread seem to think im mad or something because i dont have enough silver to buy one. I dont see that as an issue at all. If i dont have enough for one id just gather up enough. My problem was strictly that ive been selling wares & services for silver which seems to only go down in worth.

The thing with me is that I don't spend real life currency money (as being a teach sucks ass when it comes to money) for items in game. I buy everything, including the prospector's pan that I currently have, with in game currency. And I had no problem buying one.

If you dont mind me asking how much did you pay for one? And if people still do not agree that silver is worth less now than it used to, Youre just delusional.

I bought it for 2k5. And I did not disagree to the fact that silver is worth less. On the contrary. There are now more ways to get silver (through silver ore mainly). But I do not think it's a bad thing.

P.S: Calling people delusional and such is not the way to go. I've been courteous to you and if you want me to remain courteous don't continue that way.

^^ Sorry if you took offense must be that english is not my main language but what i think i said is that people who do not agree that silver is worth less now are the delusional ones. (we seemed to have some in the thread)
And you are agreeing with me are you not.

I agree in some points of your logic. But your main argument is a fallacy. Silver is easier to get, thus it's value decreases. But it's not a bad thing really.

My main argument is that Silver should be coveted enough that i can buy whatever wares i wish for with it. The price is another matter entirely. If silver ever gets devalued enough that you cant buy other than bare necessities then i think i would not enjoy the game at the same level i do at the moment.
