Ammo

Postby Heffernan » Mon Mar 30, 2015 3:13 am

Hello,

could we be allowed to use Iron or Wrought Iron to create our own Musket Ammo? and what about our own Firearms?

We would require lead for that. Traditional shot mostly used lead as its easily reusable.

Its been mentioned before that this was a idea along with us making gun powder. However that was with the old regime.

I agree we need lead, and a moulding skill which allows you to melt lead and pour it into clay moulds to make musket balls, broches, etc.

It would also be awesome to be able to make alloys from the metals. Pewter and bronze maybe.

Lol you just know that if this was added that each time to made the shots you would have a chance to get lead poisoning.
Do not argue with idiots, for they will pull you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

To correct some people you can fire damn well near anything from a muzzle loader. You can even fire a spork at someone. Just don't expect it to go very far. Iron was used, same reason steel was used as well as many other materials. Lead just so happens to be the go to as it is cheaper, kills the environment quicker, and also induces lead poisoning. Something iron does not do sadly. Now arsenic balls would be something from hell to dodge near death if you were hit by one. :3

Yeah let's put uranium-enriched bullets too in the game, along with Kryptonite, Adamantium and Verisium.

We would have to settle on uranium vases and furniture. It was more often used for that as it looked nice as it caused cancer to everyone around it.

They had no idea it was killing people until the late 1800s. :p

Wouldn't steel shot ruin the barrel?
