Though on the topic of grain alcohol: Do not mix 190 proof with dry ice. It is a bad idea in general and usually sends a bunch of idiots to the ER to have their frozen limb cut off.

...Can't we just have pizza? I prefer it over a BBQ anyday
And...grain alchol...190 proof...dry ice...can kill idiots (well if they dont get to the ER ¦])...

It also cools bottles of wine, grain alcohol, and beer quite nicely. : )

Welp. Instead of BBQ there is only one other option: DEEP FRY EVERYTHING. Even the bananas, apples, kiwi, red peppers, and cream cheese.
Keep calm and stay peachy.

Never tried a lot of these deep fried foods...
I did watch some doctor show, think it was Dr. Oz or something...it was a show about eating healthy and they brought in...Honey...Boo Boo... (Nope, not talking about that..."thing") with my grandfather. She mentioned she ate Deep Fried Oreo's, I went "...What?" Deep frying a lot of food was a forign concept to me. Until that anyway.
I don't think I'm a deep fry kind of guy XD

I've had most of those odd deep fried foods though I'm not all to fond of the strange ones. They are nice but I'm not a sucker for wasting oil on sweets when they can be better made for stuffing jalapenos with cream cheese and deep frying them. I'm more likely to deep fry mushrooms, vegetables, one fruit being tomatoes, and stuffed dumplings. All of it is better off as a side dish while you have a main course anyway; as it is not meant to be the main course due to how unhealthy it is. Most stuffed dumplings, basically dough covering any stuffing, of stuffed peppers are better when deep fried. Cookies on the other hand are an eh situation where I'm not all to fond. I'm fine with bananas as my father taught me how to deep fry them as he lived in Peru for a bit in his childhood.

Interesting, to me personally I still see it as an odd style of cooking since I guess I never had it first hand, or did at a younger age and never noticed it.
But as you said it was unhealthy...and my mother when I was a child...well lets say "over protective" (thats my childhood in a nutshell XD) so I didn't see/hear a lot of things until I was older and away from her.
But anyway before I steer this conversation off topic even more, I guess I should look into deep fried foods, just to see how it is.

I'm an ace in the kitchen, and yeah, a night of deep frying whatever is in the fridge is always awesome. be sure to try deep frying a poptart. literaly the best fried thing i ever ate. also excelent are twinkies, candy bars, carmel chunks (dear god are they good) and nearly anything else that contains sugar.

just dip whatever in pancake batter, throw in fryer, feel your arteries harden

That is exactly why Americans are so fat.
