I had the same mail, I assumed it was some sort of scam.

I also received the same email and when I try and watch my friends I am following it makes me log in. Hmmmmm, I haven't logged in yet.

It's just that some informations got trough Twitch's security and passwords are compromised. It's not really complicated to understand that if your twitch password was the same than on some other stuff like paypal or ****, you'd better change them rather quicly.
It costs nothing and it's still better than getting stuff stolen just because hurrr durrrr noone can hack me -_-

Using the same passwords and usernames is stupid to begin with.

This honestly. You kind of have it coming if you can not remember more than five passwords. That and no real big deal; they only sent that message out as someone tried to get into their servers.

This is legit mail. 2-3 weeks ago someone managed to steal all the info that was supposed to be encrypted. they have only just figured out what was taken and reset everyone passwords for the site.

Nah Twitch just need some extra cash so they sold your info to Google. Then they tell you opps someone hacked us, change your password.

Dug out my spam box and found mine, so, yeah. Hate these things. Glad someone came up with a password manager. (Just waiting for those to get hacked next, though. My mnemonics only go so far.)
