Honey quality should not really be a problem anywhere you do (Fun fact it was one of the first preservatives humanity used before we got ahold of a **** ton of salt.) which makes all sources viable. If you can find family owned farms for it then you can be better off to barter than you would with commercial.

Sadly we can't go all battle axe of the 12th bay on people and be like "All your honey iz mine.". One day.. One day..

So I was searching my local brew shops and I'm very disappointed in San Antonio. Only 3 locations one of which is a hole in the wall on a bad part of town. The other has a website that a kinder-gardener would of made and its dated 2013 with terrible prices. Time to expand my search to a more reliable source.

Also ordering that book tonight.

Welp, plan B as I like to call it. E-bay, amazon, and I'm sure plenty others I've never heard of, should be able to ship the utilities to you such as the glass five gallon drums and what not. Most of the syrups, extracts, and other items for basic, or to copy the other wonderful glorious BEER! flavors you will be stuck with buying off the internet as well most likely. (Which usually is cheaper if you find the right place and opens the door to all types.) I'd offer advice on simply using a metal container but that did not go oh' so well for me the last time I tried it. Damn chinese knock offs not making the metal type overly obvious by printing it on the pots.

Plan C can be buying mash and an oak keg and waiting five years. :p
