Keep the tax to the largest towns and with the king gone, it gets rid of a portion of the tax

Only issue would be uniting everyone in the game for some massive event the JC would need to make (Massive line battle prox?)

because JC controls the taxes not the inexistent king :(

but yeah id like a event where we throw down the kind and vote someone else as king so he dictates like...

HAIL KING DALLANE!

JC is essentially the King. I don't see why he wouldn't let us rebel if we got a large enough group, with consequences of failing: Tax increases, a sieze of all silver in banks, etc

This can technically already happen. Its called a Player created trading hub, people choose to use providance for its saftey, hence the tax's. I am sure if a very secure player trade hub was created some tax for upkeep would be required.

Im not saying no taxes, Im saying remove the kings share of 15%, reducing the taxes to 20% for the largest towns (Since without the "king" protecting us, they would be

JC will never go for that - nor should he. Silver sinks are good to prevent inflation

We should be able to overthrow the king but it should also remove the safe zone from Prov.

I could maintain a relative 1000s per day income from a stall or 150o ish in sales If i push it i have done over 3000 from common goods, but does massively drain resources and I couldn't maintain that but for a couple days.

The stall system was non-existant for awhile, it was bad before it was non-existant and it is worst than ever now. To be a trader you can not use a stall, you have to use a barrel. I just hate the inflated prices because of the tax, both seller and buyers suffer. I enjoyed supplying low cost food on stalls a long time ago but that is all but gone now. I have pretty much quit as there is nothing to be done. The stall system and town system related to the stalls i can not tolerate, I hate barrel trading so I have no choice but to go play something else, where you have free/fair trade in the game or small percentage of tax or cost. I was barely able to tolerate it at 15% tax.

It is very simple, this game is not for me anymore and hasn't been since Jamestown disappeared. Trading has always been a pain in Salem, and the town system shouldn't even exist, why encourage people to build huge towns is beyond me, it servers no purpose besides to get silver from the tax. Anyways, having a safe free trade system is not where Salem will ever go. JC does not want it. I stayed long enough to see what the new stall system will be and find it even more disgusting than it was before. I am happy i am not playing anymore.

Sounds like you already have a direction and unfortunately it is not aligned with the game's. Well then. But I can for sure tell you that much more of the players are enjoying the system. Even if they whine about it.
Sad to see you go but as FridayFactionFight told me when I quitted Wurm, sometimes the game is just not for you.
