How high do you think the weekly rent should be?

I don't actually think rent should be much higher as that would discourage stalls from selling cheap or slower moving goods.

Thus I think you need a new mechanism to turnover rarely used stalls. Perhaps you also lose a stall if no new sales for three weeks?

500 silver or bust. No more, no less. The only other acceptable number being triple 7.

Edit.

Go hard or go home Chief. Its the only way and you know you love the number 777.
Keep calm and stay peachy.

It's a great number!! the prime factors are a palindrome-- 7 x 3 x 37 (what the hell that means... /shrug)

This wouldn't work.

If someone has a stall only an absurdly high rent or them stopping playing Salem/losing intrest in owning a stall will make them give it up. Maybe people should look to incentivize sellers who actually sell rather than punish those who don't.

I think I already said it somehere , but in my opinion it should be a rental : we should keep a stall for a week or two , at the end of it money is sent to bank , remaining objects are sent to postmail (with a limited time to recover them) ; and then an automated auction begin during 24H to determine who will have the ownership for the next week.

In fact I've been tempted to sell mine several times because I don't really need it , but at the moment it's really easy to make cash (in and out stall), even with a 1000s rent I think I would have never paid it (JC can I have figures for my stall?) since November : it's too easy for an hermit farmer (with a 500s/rent i win enough cash in the last three days to pay the upkeep for three weeks even if I sell nothing later^^), so it's probably insignificant for big players or organised town.

Terrible idea all this will do is cause a monopoly and don't say it won't because some people own 4 or 5 stalls as it is i own 2 myself, and if given the chance i'm sure some people would buy even more to bump out the competition to have more room to sell, and make everything extremely inflated.

@Rubberduckbandit : I don't know , in my opinion it can't be worse than nowadays. If every stall is auctionned once a week , every players should be able to stockpile some cash to finally buy one and try to sell "several" weeks production in one go : i don't think someone will be able to monopolyze 50 stalls for week . But as I said I don't know stall figures (not even my own stall ^^) and it's really easy to make cash.

Or maybe Carver should enforce this rule : "A single player may own no more than a single stall." more severely : some people own 4 or 5 stalls as it is i own 2 myself : by just taking one of yours :D
