Grind+pvp/permadeath won`t attract enough people with enough money to pay the bill for even the few people making this game. => ungrind the game, add something other mmos don`t have like trade or exploration...
New players are not treated well. => ban everyone not able to not insult other players. You may start with some mods. Seatribes attitude in this matter isn`t helping much.
Mods playing the game they are moderating are losing every credibility. Especially if they all(?) are from H&H. => random pick mods every 8 weeks.
By insulting new players and new ideas the old H&H community (with some help from the devs) has succeeded making Salem to H&H2. Same people, same grind, same bad tone. This didn`t happen without warning, there have been enough posts in forums by me or others. Now you have the drama, you are liking so much. Have fun.

Imho the attitude put forth, from the devs and mod shows they do really want to keep this game a small neich community were drama exists with rage threads mud slinging etc.
I however as a player see the potential this game has and "could" become a huge game in the mmo world, and lead the way with a new generation of perma death games. I have 25 years gaming experience , have been a web gamer for 15 years have been a beta tester for some of the top games during there times and the top games on the current market.
This game has huge potential, yet it seems the vision i see this game in 1/2/5 years, seems somewhat hugely different from the devs / seatribes vision. However this could change in time, or i could have the totally wrong end of the stick. I am only putting forth my opinion based on the information / vibe seatribe / the dev team give.
No offence, but like the recent update "Capes *****", Yes really professional announcement of possible content, yea the "neich" community of a few hundred players would like this and find it "fun"(I could not care less), however this attitude would not be tolerated by a larger community, and paradox/seatribe need to decide if they wish to take this game into the big boys of the mmo world, and bring the lead the way new gene salem brings to the mmo world by example, the attitudes / professionalism of how they portray their game and themselves needs to change, or they will not grow as big as this game could be.
They need to make a choice.
Remain a neich little game, with a small community and earning a little slice of pie to keep them ticking.
Or
Lead the way in a whole new concept of mmo gameplay, introduce it to the gaming world when "released" in a respectable and professional way and ensure it goes down in history as a pioneer of the Permadeath / Construction / crafting game. (Would need a revamp of how forums work and how salem offers itself to the market, yet none of this would ever hinder / change the current in gameplay, just the games / devs / seatribe / paradox, need to put salem / the game across in a MUCH more professional way, and be / act alot more professional to the community.) (And well have the whole pie as they were the first, and done it right )(Many failed games failed because of ignorance of the development team, then other companies / different devs, almost mimicked the game entirely, but due to not being ignorant make a huge successful games)
Currently their attitudes point me towards the first option, however that could change. Who knows?
Do it right first time guys, and go down in gaming history is all i have to say.
