At the stock(?) what now?

I'm back to salem after a break of like a year. Now I found myself at the stock or what ever that is.
I guess I ended up there for taking stuff of one of those hundreds of dead guys lying around in Providence.

Anyway... what can I do now? Just wait till I die or how does this work?

You can pay yourself out of the stocks for 2000s or cheaper if you can find someone who sells a habeas corpus. ( i can sell you one for 1750s)
