Marrow dumplings.

Postby HolyLight » Thu Mar 05, 2015 2:12 am

They started to cook, they got to 90%.

The fire run out of fuel, however embers remained.

I topped up with fresh boards, and went about my business.

Returned 15mins later to find still on 90%.

Removed from cooking pot and replaced, they stay 0%.

Tried several different cooking pots, different fires, removed / replaced different waters, they refuse to cook.

I got 9 of them :(

...Do you have enough water in the pots?

Also make sure its fresh/new water, things like bark taints the water making it tanning fluid.

It's an old bug. Unfortunetelly you have to take the pot from the campfire and put it there again.

Unless both of you failed to understand, i used different pots (5 different pots), swapped new / fresh water into them, each time i tried a different pot, i placed them on a different fire place as well.

I know multipul things do but like this, never seen it happen to marrow dumplings though.

After rechecking them today, they are cooked. However they never even gained 1% during the last 15mins i was online.

Hail.

Were the fires freshly lit? They need max heat (ashes must appear in the fireplace - red bar when you inspect it) before anything starts boiling

Yes they were all max heat, as i was making tea and multipul boiled foods ready to glutton.

They are cooked now, unsure how it happened, i left them in a fireplace and checked them twice befor logging off last night and in that time they remained 0%. Weird, maybe it was fixed :) (EDIT: I mean i left them in a copper pot, on a fireplace)

very old 'bug'... pot can only be placed on an already burning fire, else it won't cook.
