what artifacts are people using for their +mining gear ?
And also any hints on the smelting proces for iron would be greatly appreciated
i have been filling my smelters with 7 or 8 iron and then 4 lime and continuing until the smelter is full but i am only getting 1 or 2 pig iron bars at each smelt

hmm glass beadwork that is alot of glass needed.
Guess i have to keep on grinding that glass.....at the moment im using the bone beadwork and Polished Leather Beadwork in my clothing but i was hoping there was another decent mining artifact that wasn't too hard to make.

If there's something that is fun to you that brings profit you can do that thing instead. You'll then simply buy the glass and pay a tailor to make clothes and slot artifice into it. Mining may feel a bit too grindy cause it's Player vs static environment.

i think i will go with the grindy part for now and then just accept that my mining gear is not top notch yet :)
on another totaly unrelated topic how much should one expect to pay for a stall... i watched an auction of one of the new stalls and i think it ended up going for 9k or 10k silver.... seems like alot of silver to a new player like me :)
btw thx for the quick reply

Yep, >10K. The last cheap ones were a silent event, but it happened on sunday, which is an event day. You can find someone who will buy anything from you anytime for a bit smaller price than you'd ideally prefer, since it's anytime. And that guy may put it on his stall. Iron tools were always a good market.

m&m DOES play a major role in output from smelters! we tested it!

thought not sure how mining gear adds to that. maybe someone can add his findings.
we will continue our experiments

what M&M do you guys have? i suppose since some people have 600++ T&N for clothes Difficulty and success on Artifacts people will now head for 600+ M&M for lot of mining output.
