Mining levels

Do u have to mine to other levels or is there a chance to fall to another level

There is a chance to find entrance when you mine tiles that used to be black rock. So find black rock, soften it with fire, then mine it.

In case you are asking if you can fall multiple levels, I believe you can only go down one at a time.
