Key Issues

I made a for my claim and put a lock on the door. It works perfect for me but when I give a copy of the key or my key itself to any one else the door wont open for them. Is there some sort of bug with keys?

Nope keys only work for you. In order for your friend to use it:
Make a copy.
Right click that copy on them. Key will now be attuned to that person.
Give them the copy one.
Each key is for one person only so key stealing is not a thing. Which is weird, but deal with it
