Proficiency decreased upon passing out

Hey, I died several times and my proficiency has been decreased.. is there any way to get it back?
The problem is that my inspiration limit needed for further increasing the proficiency is unchanged.
for example: sparks and embers were 3900 before death with 39 proficiency rating and now they´re only 38 with 3900 unchanged...
I really need to get back the proficiency rating, Thanks for your answers

No way to get it back.

The 'amounts' needed should update though if they get 'off' by simply learning one level of any other prof.

So if I learn 3900 sparks and embers and click "learn", the proficiency will increase and the amount needed for next learning will stay at 3900?
that would be great! I was afraid of permanently changed ratio

Yes if you learn 3900 and click learn you will learn in the prof and it will stay at 3900.
