On mining

Found level 3 and had cave in start on top of the entry so now i have walls that can not be mined inside the entry and a boulder also that was not removed when the entry appeared.

Have you any details on the max ore aether you have find for the level 2,3 and 4?

We havent really been mining for purity yet so I dont have much information about it. The max we have found so far is 9'ish% on level 1, 16% on level 2. In cave 3 we have the cave down at 100 tiles in and cave 4 we are burning about 100 tiles in too so we're not far enough in to really give good purity information. But we get about 18% at 100 tiles in. We're not using a mining set yet either.

Interesting, and how exactly did this happen? There was a cave-in nearby? Or one in process right before you found the hole?

The area had a support pillar i build a day before. that vanished as did most other items in area as entrance appeared except the one boulder stuck in entry. this also made my client crash and after log in i just had time to snap a screenshot and run as it caved in.

Ah yes I see. SO the entrance took out a mine support that was previously built to prevent a cave-in. Interesting.

Yes, i lost a rather large iron node as well a 2-3 chuncks of silver when i found my entrance to the next level.

Was not impressed.

Now, in a case like this, you know that only black walls can make a cave down. Why not mine anything of value around any black area as the first thing you do?

Yep, that's why I am mining all my iron out before burning any more black walls
