Also in game connections will get you much more info on this subject then you will get out of the forums, so it you want more information than is currently on the wiki or forums on witchcraft you should probably start building more in game connections.

When you right click the doll it shows "Ponder" not "Study" that means you will get a new skill. You do have to live in the Darkness or otherwise you will suffer from Light Drain the same way a Pilgrim suffers from Darkness Drain.

A pilgrim doesn't burn to death so it not the same there's some difference to it
