I wouldn't say the logging out next to an item and logging back in at homestead was intended behavior, at least in this instance.

Hi.

I also have had the same issue of being told the spot i last logged out at was occupied, repeated attempts not letting me back in, and when finally agreed to port to homestead with my inventory contents NOT dropped, it decided to lose me my items.

I know it is a known problem, but i intentionally logged out in my own camp, in a clear space not next to any items to prevent this very issue, and it still wouldnt let me relog, despite me knowing from another main character that there was nothing at all blocking the spot they logged out in.
And the items werent dropped to the ground either, they totally disappeared altogether..

Something really needs to be done about this issue!
(I am not asking for my items back etc, just asking that the problem get some more attention given that the suggested ways to avoid losing to it are not working for me :S)

There is a bug tracker to look up these things. Since it IS a beta, losses like this will happen for no known reasons. That's part and parcel in participating in beta testing runs. It's up to YOU to know what the bugs are and how to avoid them.

It's no longer a beta once you start charging real money for some services. It's disgusting how often "beta" tag is put on a game as an excuse for bugs, but somehow it doesn't stop creators from charging for it like for finished product.

But that's just my opinion

Well, that's not really a definition of "beta", which isn't strictly defined, but does have a general definition in relation to released software (and I've seen software that is released that is worse than some beta software in terms of bugs and usability). I do agree with you, but as several companies have shown, and Kickstarter turned into a rule, people are willing to pay full price for software months or years before release.

But it is the general and usually correct answer. If anyone has an issue that they think deserves a reimbursement, then Paradox support needs to be contacted directly: support@paradoxplaza.com or send a PM to TotalyMoo here or on the Paradox Plaza forums. This isn't a general discussion thread and I hate to lock it, but closed unless someone can PM me some relevant reason it should remain open.
