cave ins will no longer spawn black walls IIRC (or at least no walls that will drop you down a layer) - wasn't there a couple of posts on it?

In my case it was a regular black wall that was not created by a cave in. It is best to burn and mine black walls and hope for the best!

My husband and I are down to cave 4- It seems to really get harder and harder to find the cave downs. Cave 2 we found after 2 hard rock. Cave 3 we found after about 2 days of burning hard rock I believe. Cave 4 after 4 days give or take.

That is good efforts, i am really struggling myself as i get so far from ladder.
Have you any details on the max ore aether you have find for the level 2,3 and 4?

Glad to hear that, i thought it's only my bad luck. got cave 2 in 2 rocks aswell, cave 3 is still to be burned, just got motivation to push on it further!
