I guess theres sparks or mines skill in play, plus some RNG as JC seems to love it so much lately. EVERYTHING will soon have some RNG in it.

On side note, with 200 M&M and 120 sparks doing 13 ore 12 lime, always get at least 1 bar, roughly half the times 2 bars. only slight decrease as pre batch, but given that ore is plentyful and easyer to get now, i think its better :)

Ok, leaving pig iron in a smelter doesn't help :D though i technically got 3 bars after a smelter run.

Just one hint at how to figure it out...

You all speak of tests data, but then its only a few runs, that does say nothing.

Like one said, 2 batches on 7 smelters, 2 batches on 100 smelters would tell you nothing!
100 batches on 2 smelters on the other hand would tell you almost everything.

There ought ot be a carry over value, like it was before, you got 180% per smelt, so 1 bar in 1/5 runs, 2 bars in 4/5 runs...

If you REALLY want to know, even though there is rng in it, build a brand new smelter (so you have no carry over value messing stuff up!) for every halfway good combination, or even more, and do at least 10 runs on it, then it might give some more meaningful data.

I don't see where you guys are calculating the position of the lime and the ore at the point of smelting?

We are aware, building new smelters is just not an option right now.

Oh you. Would be hard to fit that in excel table :)

i think you have to rotate ORE...LIME....ORE... etc and you have to start with Ore 3/3 runs i got 2 bars
13/12lime
maybe its luck

Actually not, just reference the patterns by numbers or whatever...

Regarding smelters, what do they need to build now? Game just crashed, and JCs wiki is down as usal.

I don't think it's changed, I built a couple more just now:
20 bricks
35 stone
5 boards
10 hay
3 pig iron bars
2 (or 4?) nails
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.
