You can always watch him bounce around and catch him again so he can continue a happy caged-in life until you slaughter him when he's grown up. ;)

That is not at all true, Salem has a fairly large female population especially compared to most other MMOs.

Not including Wurm online, LoL, WoW, Chinese instant-noodle games, etc. you mean? I don't know enough people in game to judge much, but I think with our population right now that is impossible. Or you could be talking about the proportion. In that case, I stand corrected as I know not about that.
Still, if we have a lot of gals wandering around and you feel manly enough, that could lead to a romantic relationship as you guys have the same interest. Give it a try. I know a guy who marry a beautiful girl just by playing chinese crap games.

It's one thing to meet someone in a MMO and a completely other thing to be able to marry in a MMO. I don't feel that Salem is a game that would gain a lot from marriage between players.

Yes I mean proportion. There are more black transgender jews playing WoW and LoL that the total population of Salem.

I want to clarify for him that he means no harm and this is a metaphor to prove his point. Do not get mad with him in my thread. This is a humorous way of saying it.

Ok, so taking a more serious look at this idea, then.

trungdle wrote:Here I put some random thoughts on a system I enjoy seeing but useless for you :D
-Add store items: Wedding rings ($2.99), Wedding Suit($4.99), Wedding Dress($9.99).
-Character must learn "appropriate behavior" and "courtship" before they can get married. Else they can remain engaged. They can then book a date with the bishop in Providence for their party. The party would need 10,000 silver to be hosted or a store item "Wealthy uncle Thomas' congratulation letter" for $14.99.

I'm with tweenprinc3ss on this, it would be nicer to buy all these things in one pack, but be able to aquire them all ingame as well. Except for the diamond ring, which is a good idea to be a store item.

Not attending to the booked wedding should return a buff to both parties, maybe they couldn't glutton for a while because of a broken heart or something.

trungdle wrote:-Allow a male character to marry a female character at the church. First the couple get engaged, the chances are the ring will break with low "Law & Lore". A $14.99 "Diamond ring" fix this.

What about gay marriage? :)

Or we could make another character as the bishop. he will receive 350s for his service. Need skill of course, like "Liturgy & Clergy"

I like the idea of players as bishops, maybe even add artifice that would decrease the chances of a ring to break.

trungdle wrote:-The couple then can invite people to the church. Everybody who come gets gifts.

Who would pay for these gifts, can they be scented and/or cursed and what would they be? Would they be inspirationals, food or cosmetic items?

trungdle wrote:-When the wedding song end and while the bishop is announcing them husband and wife, by chance these scenarios can occur:
1. nothing happen.
2. spiders spawn.
3. a witch spawns that curse everyone at the rate 10second per person until defeated. Curse the bride first. Claimed she love the man.
4. a cowboy spawns with gun skill that shoot for 12,5% blood per shot. Aiming at the groom. Occasionally shoot out for the crowd. Claims he had the girl.

I'd rather see a wedding being interrupted by players for roleplaying's sake. The song could be heard within the entire townclaim of Providence and everyone (who has a skill for that, maybe) should be able to interrupt the wedding. So the couple might have to have friends (like, a best man, or 20) to protect their wedding against unwanted party poopers.

trungdle wrote:-After the wedding their properties are joined. If one of them die the other suffer a 33% decrease in biles and 33% decrease in Proficiencies as grieved widower. The death character's account is then able to inherit 50% of the bile from the husband and 90% the Proficiencies from the wife as their son/daughter. Engaged couples can only get 1/3 of the benefits. One child allowed per person. Also, the alive character gets everything, from bank account to claims. Should they remarry, the properties go with them to the new family.
1rst edit: changed some of the details

This the reason why I would give this idea a +0,5, because here's where an actual meaning to this and the chance to plot out some arranged marriage and tactically placed kills come into play.

All in all I'd rather not have us marry each other, simply because I personally think that's a too Sim-like thing and eventually people would like to raise kids and send them to Hogwarts to become a good witch and whatnot. :P

Thank you for paying close attention on my idea. I appreciate your input.

Not for the time period :D. I'm against it in general anyway. (personal belief)

I haven't thought about them yet :D But I imagine them to be regular items of rarity such as rare artifice or something
