New to Salem, inspiration

Postby mrmay87 » Wed Jan 28, 2015 5:02 am

Having to wait on inspiration to gain is a bit tedious, I want to play the game but I find myself logging off for hours to just regenerate the inspiration necessary to unlock new skills. I have the items available to study, waiting on inspiration to gain is taking a long time. I've been trying to find if there is a consumable item to gain inspiration but it doesn't seem so. Anyways, making inspiration gain a by doing things (killing animals, creating items, etc.) would allow a new person to play the game and gain the necessary skills without having to log off for hours. Game is pretty fun so far

There is. Use your time to get some silver and then look for similar bottles in players' stalls

Indeed. The new tutorial should hopefully give players a better understanding of how to brute force their way through the inspirational wall.

If you find yourself logging off due to having nothing do to but wait for insprition, you must be the strongest endgame player here.

There is ALWAYS something to do in salem.

lots of new players actually dont know that they can do so much while waiting for new inspiration :)
like:
stocking trees
making baskets
gatherings food for glutton sessions
make boxes
gather **** to sell for silver
build a wall and get a p claim
build more walls
kill rabbits for skins
boil bark for tanning fuild
and this is just the start of it!

And to add something most newbies always seem to forget, MAKE TORCHPOSTS OR BRAZIERS!

I hope john puts a huge tutorial imphasis on making torch post and braziers. I see far to many built up bases with technology far beyond noob status, with 1 or no defenses.
