Bug regarding bonemeal

Postby Sorrol » Mon Jan 19, 2015 2:09 am

Hello Game Designers,

I just experienced something I'd assume is a bug within the game.

Bonemeal apparently is a fertilizer you can use after the 10th fertilizer.
I was told by an other player a field can only hold 10 fertilizers, in case this is not true please do tell me and ignore this post.
I so far tried this twice.
First I went with this pattern:
Bonemeal
Lime
Bonemeal
Wood Choppings
6x Bonemeal

This would result in 212% Speed, 250% Plenty, and 50% Upkeep (due to having a farm earlier with 50% upkeep)
Now I wasn't completely sure if I had done the 6x Bonemeal (forgot to count) so I added some more... and more... and more...
After doing this a lot of time to see if there was a cap I ended up at 373% Speed, 403% Plenty, 50% upkeep, and 100% influence (add 13% plenty due to RNG when planting seeds)

I went to confirm this and make sure it'd also be possible in other situations so I tried it on a field that was 100% everything but 50% upkeep.
I added Bonemeal there and it indeed worked, I was able to add more than 10 fertilizers.

I do not know if this is as intended or a bug, therefore this report.

Yours Sincerely,
Sorrol

There is no limit to how many fertilizers you can add to a field

well, there IS a limit to the number of woodchips you can throw on a field: if your upkeep has reached its lowerbound, you aren't able to add more woodchips.
Incidentally, that limit is 10 woodchips for a freshly placed and seeded field (i.e. 100% upkeep).
I have neither the crayons nor the time to explain it to you.
