Is stocking your own char for 2 weeks that committed a crime a possible way to avoid trial by combat? Or at least stocking for the time you can't defend a char.

directly from the in-game tbc tooltip: "A Trial may be ended in the first one hour with the pleintiff being sent to the stockades. If the Trial by Combat is destroyed, the Trial immediately ends and the accused is found innocent."
