In the meanwhile, the true witches of Salem learned me all there is to know about Witchcraft and we combined all the knowledge which can be found in a book that's circulating.

There's plenty of good ways to find out if someone's a witch, my dear lads. Let's just look at the tried and true methods of history! Follow me!

Remember, the more a witch says they're not a witch the more likely it is that they're a witch!

I think there is an awesome mechanic here waiting to be had. Feel free to brainstorm. In our last development session we talked about 'undoing' the eventual 'throttle' we had planned for the speed in which a Witch can ascend. This could be nice to 'balance' in the idea of a witch trial. But how would it work? Simply stocks that take witches and allow burnings? Or something more?

If we have a burning post we could 'fuel' it with evidence of witchcraft - not even nessasarily from the witch being 'burned'

Exorcism by pilgrims with high faith. Groups of fasting praying pilgrims could perform a ritual to a suspect witch, if their faith is higher than the her wichcraft she would reveal her secret ugly form, becoming vulnerable to lose her witch card.

Holy water, maybe? Perhaps a skill that one could get with a high enough Faith and Wisdom proficiency that'd allow you to convert high purity water (10%? Iono, I'm not too familiar with that aspect of the game yet) into holy water. This can only be done inside a church. Throw holy water at a witch they're start steaming (bit of a tribute to the Wizard of Oz), maybe let out a shrill shriek, and they'll drop evidence of witchcraft. Throw it on a normal person, however, and they'll get the 'wet and cold' debuff which halts inspiration gain or something like that. Do it enough and it'll leave 'disturbance of the peace' evidence which can be used against you.
