But there is no planned wipe for the perm server. In fact, I think last patch we proved that our character restoration databases work just fine. So even if there was some HUGE problem with the map or data etc. etc. Players are certainly going to be coming back with 'something'.

For the time being Providence is both the 'perm' and 'test' server.

This means that if for any reason we felt there needed to be a 'different' perm server, at least some level of commitment from Providence would be 'transferred' to it. At the moment though nothing on our roadmap indicates this will be necessary. Meaning the only way we get a 'different' perm-server will be if there is some massive data corruption or bug that forces us to do so.
