modern warfare doctrine since the 60's had been to use small arms to suppress the enemy and then take them out with artillery, mortars or air support.

i fail to see how soldiers "not shooting proper" on the battlefield against other soldiers shooting back applies to a civilian setting where the targets are unarmed people in a grocery store or shopping mall.

Training and arming the masses to fight against people out of line will generally still lead to people doing nothing.

the issue is not religion, the issue is islam. even black mass satanists do not entertain the thought of committing the atrocities that these folks do on a daily basis all over the world.

Also, you're absolutely right in saying Europe should be a lot more careful who it lets into its countries. Here in the Netherlands, even people who went to Syria to join IS were often allowed back in, be it while being placed under some kind of surveillance. How do these people not get stopped at the airport, when they have a ticket for Damascus or whatever? And if they do get through, how do they not get stopped when getting back, assuming they make it back at all? I've heard people say that it's hard to find out why they went and that most Jihadis just fly to Turkey and cross the border there, and I get that, but if it can be proven they went to basically fight the western forces or the local opposition, take their passports and ***** them. We let these people in, giving them every chance to become a functioning member of Dutch society and they pull this? Nobody is forcing anyone to live in a free society with freedom of speech/press and what have you, so feel free to leave.
