Is there a special way to destroy braziers that I missed or are they now indestructible?

Owners can kill them, They can die to decay, and raiders can bring them down to a single decay tick from death with a bucket of water.

Only one bucket of water to inactivate a brazier?

One bucket can inactivate 5 braziers.

Making sure raiders cannot get to your braziers is now the most important principle of base defense.

Shouldn't that just empty / ruin all the coal versus requiring a bar of iron to repair?

1 bar of Iron vs 40 coal, I think I'm fine with the 1 iron.
