Alts in Providence

Postby allpedro » Wed Dec 17, 2014 5:36 pm

First of all i want to send my regards to the Devs because of the diseases implementation. I think that is a very nice mechanics that add much more depth to the game roleplay.

But after this patch, Providence is full of alts that are stopped there just to spread the illness to players that are going to town. Its obvious that this mechanics will provoke such thing, nothing against people wanting to spread their illness to other, but is not right (imo) to do that with afk alts. I think this is a form of abuse and have to be discouraged. the only way i can think at the moment is forcing the logoff of inactive players. please discuss :)

As cities get bigger, and the prosperous prosper, it is inevitable that those in need will flock to these bastions of economic wealth. We have seen it many times in our homeland, the poor and destitute flocking to our great nations cities hoping to get a taste of abundance. We must remember, that though their coughs strike fear into the hearts of the well-to-do, these are still citizens of our great new world. We must find it in our hearts to do what we can for our fellow man, or we are no different from the savages who were displaced from this magnificent countryside.

They just make it hard to move when you're there with an actual reason other than trolling.

Good thing you have witches to clean up the mess.

Just add a bit of magic and purge the city from those alts.

There needs to be a way to administer cures or something to other players.

Trolls trying to spread infection in a town ? no problem, let's just cure them all.

Now, the only problem is the mass production of said cures.

Witches can indeed fix this problem by killing off the AFK alts one by one :). Looks like the people of Salem need to work a deal with a helpful witch.
