How much? And why?

Postby sogdog » Mon Dec 15, 2014 12:48 am

Can someone tell me what the theory is behind having to pay silver to kill off a character?

The latest crash caught me while heading out to build a leanto. I'm not complaining, these things happen. But I would rather just wipe the character and start again. Why does this cost silver? I'm certain there is a good reason, I just don't know what it is.

Like much of the features in this game, this is a troll, delivered by the devs to harvest our tear. Looking at your reaction, they are doing quite well.
You thought I quit.

No tears here, chap. I was merely inquiring about the reasons behind a game feature I just became aware of.

If your default attitude is "The devs do it to make us cry", I'd say you're more of a victim in this game than I am.

We didn't want dead alts clogging up the town. It it didn't cost silver, someone would do it.

More importantly, it's not like you actually need to kill your character just to start a new one. :)
