I don't think 3 mouse clicks is a chore. There are enough wilderness guides for people to understand that they need to use their service.

It tells you to talk to the wilderness guide but not what happens if you don't, the help section on homesteads doesn't even tell you that you need to have one to keep your inventory.JohnCarver wrote:DarkNacht wrote:Yep, the fact that a player will need a leanto before logging out should be one of the first things that a new player is told after they get off the boat in my opinion.
The fact that a new player has a box on their HUD telling them exactly what to do that doesn't go away until they do it seems more than enough warning to me.
You have a box in the lower right that instructs you to talk to the wilderness guide, you failed to do it. The "Tutorial" isn't over until you do. I would just as happily "Delete" a character that hasn't talked to the wilderness guide, thus, deleting only his items and gear seems like the lesser punishment. Because he hasn't finished the tutorial, and so thus, I don't consider him a part of the Salem world yet.
This is all pretty irrelevant as redoing the tutorial is coming up soon on the roadmap. After we do, we will in fact be deleting any characters who fail to complete the tutorial. The completion of the tutorial will still 'end' with a homestead.
