y it went strange for me aswell, i used 2 smelling salts at the start when i had the disease but nothing happened, then i put 3 leeches on myself but i didn't see a difference in the disease bar , then i tried to drink a liter of green tea but nothing happened it seems.
finaly i used 1 more smelling salt and my disease is gone.
I still dont understand why but i hope this helps people to figure it out.

Edit:
I had still been killing rats when i was diseased, so maybe at the start i had a disease that could not be cured by the smelling salts.

I drank WIllow Bark tonic like a crazy man and now I'm approaching 1000 Q&Q, which I tried to decrease but you need a lot of food preparation to reduce that, which I can't do because my Disease is beyond half already.

I'm probably going to lose my main character and owner of my main base which was under a lot of work.

Disease does nto permakill.

It is highly unlikely that if you try a cure 99 times, it will work on the 100th. I would suggest moving on to a different cure.

this is a bit confusing, I'll just take a long break and halt my works, could be a good thing in disguise

Its confusing for now, we decided to leave it such through the weekend to see how it plays out. I was, and still am, confident that the Salem community can figure it out though.
