Turkey egg laying timer

I use to sort my turkeys by purity from highets to lowest. SO I have a question: if I pick them up by replacing with another turkey - do they have their egg laying timer set to 0? Do I slow down the procces by such sorting every time I acquire higher purity turkey?

I think I've had domesticated turkeys lay eggs not long after switching them out with other turkeys. And I know I've had fertilized eggs laid soon after switching out gobblers.

I have noticed that my hens lay more eggs if there are 2-3 gobblers inside the coop.
