Yes I want a wipe when the game is finished and no I don't want to find a new spot im trying to learn I know how to build a base already.

Not everything that is in the mine can be taken out.

Yep that stuff will be lost but nothing that can't be moved is worth that much its better then making our existing mines ****.

I'd still like a choice.

A choice is always best, if it does not take much work for the devs to implement in a stable and un-exploitable way.

Actually playing on a fresh server is more dangerous. Here and now in Providence you aren't afraid that your noob claimed or even lean-to'd or even unclaimed stuff might get completely stolen (maybe a couple of items) cause noone needs your ****. On a new server on the other hand you'd get more competition so everyone will be happy to steal some stuff you wasted 3 hours foraging and crafting.
A wipe doesn't seem any useful unless you need a bit more fun (example: you want to feel superior by being in step with the economy and evolution)

JC, please clarify completely what will happen with mines.

I spent hours and hours of digging to design and build base around mines, at least give us some useful info.

- will the nodes that do not yet have an entrance, change positions ?

- will we be able to extract ore ( even not pure ) from existing mines ?

- will structures ( like smelters ) inside mines be destroyed ? and if so will new structures be build-able in existing mines ?

I would sure appreciate a thread with all intended changes and deployments to the mining patch.

thank you

The mining patch is after the arsen/pvp patch and the arsen/pvp patch isn't out yet so just wait for the "January patch warning" (that way he can focus on one rollout at a time)

well sure i understand, the thing is that the mining patch concerns something very time consuming and expensive to accomplish such as base building. that also needs a lot of time to plan too.

No. Because we simply don't know yet. Its not the current patch.
