I am looking to make a new base, but I will make my mine just after the mining patch...

Mine entrances destroy the mine nodes. I could let you destroy your mine entrances, but you wouldn't have a node underneath it so it would be pointless.

Everybody has about 2-10 Mines within couple hundred squares at max. EVERYBODY should be able to get a new mine in their base by simply making an 'expansion' onto their existing base or a small nearby mining settlement. ANYBODY who is unwilling to do this, doesn't concern me.

Thats exactly why I am not too fused, I already have a little walk to my mine.

Not a problem at all, current mines won't be worthless, they can still functionate for storage.

Sometimes, mine is a VERY important part of your base planning. For a first month of that patch, allow us to convert mine enterences into nodes, when mine is under our claim, that's not too much.

I can't help but whole heartedly agree with this I basically planned my town around having a mine in it, my entire planned layout. Dont get me wrong its a new town and the wall have just been put up, but the layout is set.

Hm. well.. I understand that you are going to roll the mine node dice once more and all existing mining nodes will vanished while new ones appear - either the same spot or another one. So it might happen that a legacy mine entrance is right next to a new ore node. Is that assumption correct?

He just cares so much about us is why he does this... the time put into making a base a certain way for def purposes doesn't concern him as he say if we don't want to go outside our def to.mine he don't care. I've put hours of work into my base it has 2 mines and there are no more near me if there were the time it would take to rebuild all that is point less i have nothing but mountains near me and spent much time making my area but that doesn't concern him
