This is a small ideas thread, if you don't like the ideas, get the ***** out or submit better ones

He did submit a better one, using food to regen. AFKing in a specific spot to regen is a dumb idea.

There could be a mini game to make sure you are not AFK, from the bed thread:

After playing that minigame for 8 hours you could get the W&C buff for a full nights sleep in-game. It could be like fishing but "Think of England" can be replaced with "Dream of Golden Goose" ¦]

I don't deny that we should invest something to 'keep going' but the constant hassle is kindof a *****

***** it, clearly carver crapping up the thread has invited the army of tip-riders. Was feeling pretty good about the reception of my fish tacos and other ideas, shoulda known better. Seatribe gonna seatribe

I'm not suggesting we remove food, or change how gluttony works, or torpedo any mechanics that a ton of hours, code, and thought have gone into, i acknowledge the regen and gluttony systems are pretty cool and work.
What I am suggesting is that perhaps the village grinders could use some method of regenerating phlegm other than constantly shovelling down food. I don't want an edge or safety net for PVP, I don't want to be able to grind endlessly on personal development without food, I just want to be able to toggle a speed faster than default while sorting metal and goods from end to end of an ever-expanding village. The people who bought salem clearly want us to collect in one village instead of being spread out in smaller groups and using vaults and stuff, they clearly want our endgame to include hitting leaderboards through the use of high profile kills and well authority'd villages, and theres talk of drink buffs and stuff, I just thought this would be a good opportunity to toss some small ideas in the hat, as well as my perspectives as one of the nolife village organizers and producers. But I get it. Carver had some oneline posts and a clever picture of a new eyepatch, better take a dump on the thread.

For the record scillyguy, this idea isn't NEARLY as bad as your stupid fukken 'good time buffs'.
Just when we finally break away from bots you wanna add in some stupid **** to bring them back and increase tedium of those who don't use them.

My comment regarding the mini game was as tongue in cheek as JCs was in the bed thread. I am actually all for the idea of having other ways to regen biles or decrease the drain in various ways. I completely agree that it gets tedious having to make crumbs, pies, frikadels, roasted fish etc. I am sorry you don't like my idea, I admit that I overlook bots as I don't see the point in them, I'm here to play a game not try to be the best or WIN it. If that was the case I put my effort into something that mattered a bit more. My suggestion was based on the idea that the devs want to encourage professions, they want people to specialise. I was trying to think how someone could be better at something without it just being a case of buying a new skill. You are of course correct about bots, and yes, it would be perhaps be tedious, but you won't lose anything by NOT taking advantage of the bonuses, its just others would gain an edge. ANYWAY, back to the subject of regen:

There was a suggestion regarding oddities, which would turn up as random drops from repetitive actions, they would in turn give a buff that would increase speed or decrease bile drain related to their specific action.

I can get behind the idea of drink related buffs that might reduce bile drain or aid recovery.

The discussion regarding beds and sleeping could also involve bonuses to drain.

As far as sitting in a chair goes, I didn't like that aspect of HnH, I'm playing the game to do something, even if it is making crappy food, not to afk.

Quaffed and Quenched will have an ability to regen biles as well after the next patch.

What about a system where some activity drains three biles to quickly regen another. You'd still need regen food but it will last a lot longer. Make it a structure so it's clear it's only for base developement. A chair that restores phlegm but reduces all other biles by a third of the phlegm gained.

As for being afk let's be serious we afk all the time, chiping boulders, cutting trees, sawing boards, grinding flour etc. Chair should be faster than these a lot faster.

Prospector helm, candle lantern, oil lamp. Uses glass planes, few bars and some wood, oil for fuel or candles uses like charge for long time

Just for comfort mining, darkness exploration, decorations,
Also some new Inspirationals, Jack-o'-lantern for example or even skill for making wicks and all that light stuff.

john but have you ever thought that maybe with a rock in pieces can give us the ability to get many pieces to use as ammunition for slingshots? would be comfortable and functional, salem also needs a bit of vitality as planting bushes to beautify their base or flowers that can be used to beautify the landscape, in short, I would also like a nice base to shop. he needs a facelift in this sense john. excuse my bad English, I hope you understand what I mean.

Oil Lamps and prospectors helms will most likely be a thing as part of 'content' in new patches.

Shouldn't we be using tallow lamps?
