I don't think its possible because Terra forming is done by moving the landscapes vector points. When vector point A to B is steep make cliff etc.
Water is a plane as well.
As it stands, the Salem engine is not the Minecraft engine so boot up Microsoft's Minecraft and start digging dem water holes.

We could be. We could also be at the same level as anyone else. There could also be some highly advanced race out there. Its hard to tell and too vast to assume anything.
