They had the scents outside base and died because of that. If someone broke all your walls and braziers and went inside, he did not need scents inside base .

He needs scents if he plans to summon you. And if you are foolish enough to have your own scents just bouncing around your base for when they get in then you are going to find yourself taking a dirt nap.

I dont' feel like debating why you think having scents bouncing around your base is 'not a problem'. If you fail to see it, then I will simply enjoy your tears when you find out the hard way.

(First off, I don't mind the no alt vault part of this. I think that's a bad mechanic.)

So let me get this straight...

A weak new town get's waste claimed by a large powerful faction. Not only will they be able to destroy the weak towns entire base which they may have spent months building, they will also now be able to loot every last piece of perfectly slotted clothing, item, and tool off the weak town's unscented, unsummonable, totally crime free characters?

You don't see a problem with this?

There is absolutely zero reason for anyone without a fortress to buy any piece of clothing, tool, cape, hat, or item from the store ever again. All a powerful faction has to do is destroy every base they come across and steal all the items off the minor town's and bases's characters to accumulate an even larger hoard of store bought items. They of course have nothing to fear because the other players who don't have 400 stat guys can never break through their brick wall unless they glutton for months and months and months.....

How can you possible think this is going to help this game grow? All it's going to do is feed the big factions even more stuff.

I see nothing but causal players who bought an item or a pack, who don't read every last scrap of the forums rage quitting the game for months.

For those of us who weren't specifically on vent when you announced what will happen to characters without lean-to's but no inventory, can you please tell us what will happen. Will they lose all their clothes as well? If someone destroys a lean to out in the wilderness, will that person with no lean-to lose all their inventory and all their clothes because of that?

Some of us raise characters up in town so that we can then travel with them with a degree of safety or port to a specific place where they'll be needed eventually, like a new town location to be mayor. Will these new characters who are skilling in town without a lean-to now die? Will they just be unable to wear clothes or hold anything in inventory? How is that going to work?

What stuff has been answered? I've read the forum thread here. Is there a different thread answering this stuff?

Raiding is going to change. You won't see towns leveled like you have in the past. Yes its totally fair that people can take items from a characters leanto. If you can't defend then you need to move instead of vaulting everything. You are lucky that the character can't be killed as it should.

No

You don't know how raiding works or how its changing. This game isn't for you and anyone who thinks like this. Killing a 400 stat guy is going to be easier then it already is. Learn to shoot.

No one is going to rage quit and you don't have the info to back this up.

Ive read through the last few pages and cant find any solid information on what ahppens to characters that are clothed but have no leanto.
Are they summoned on patch deployment?
do clothes and inventory just start dropping where the character last logged in?
I am curious how this is going to work because from the bits jc drops it means if you take a break from the game and have no base theres a chance you lose all gear. So what happens to scentless leantoless inventory empty characters now?
